Tigers League

Tigers League is a creator-led 7v7 football league designed from the ground up for the Bangladesh market. The concept reimagines football as a fast, festival-style experience built for today’s digital-first fans, where matches, creators, and culture collide. Instead of a long, traditional season, Tigers League condenses the drama of a full campaign into a four-day football festival across two consecutive weekends, making it operationally feasible while still delivering the narrative depth of a league with standings, playoffs, and a champion.


The format brings together six teams, each managed by a major Bangladeshi creator or public figure, who act not only as coaches but as on-screen personalities and storytellers. Across the first three matchdays, all six teams play a single round-robin (15 matches total), leading into a final day with two semi-finals and a championship game. Matches are 7v7 on a smaller field with 20-minute halves and “Gamechanger” rules designed to create spikes in tension and content-worthy moments. Around the pitch, matchdays are programmed as live content engines: creator pods, fan voting, challenges, and festival-style experiences for both in-stadium and online audiences.


Commercially, Tigers League is positioned as a modern sponsorship platform where attention is the primary currency. The league leverages its creator network, national-team ambassadors, and compact festival format to offer brands integrated visibility: title and team partnerships, branded segments, digital content collaborations, and on-ground activations. Season One is structured as a proof of concept that can scale into a longer multi-week property in future years, with the long-term vision of establishing Tigers League as a flagship sports-entertainment brand for Bangladesh and, eventually, a format that can be replicated in other markets.

 

My Contributions
  • Led the strategic direction and overall vision of Tigers League as Founder & Managing Director
  • Designed the competition structure, including 4-day festival format, 7v7 rules, Gamechanger mechanics, and playoff model
  • Developed the commercial proposition, sponsorship inventory, and high-level sales narrative for brand partners
  • Created the core brand positioning and storytelling framework, emphasizing creator-led teams and digital-first matchdays
  • Defined the player pathway and talent structure, including Trials → Draft → Teams and award categories for Season One
  • Produced key pitch materials, including sponsor briefs, influencer decks, and early concept assets for social and presentations
  • Planned the operational model for Season One covering venue strategy, scheduling, staffing needs, and production considerations
  • Shaped the long-term roadmap for Tigers League, from a 4-day festival league toward a scalable multi-week, multi-city sports entertainment property
